Tim:

I understand and feel bad for you, my friend.  Here's something to consider, I hope it helps.  I am prone to being moody and getting down about a lot of different things myself.  But on average, about once every work day, I have to tell some poor woman she has breast cancer.  And this never fails to remind me that no matter what I think is a major crappy problem that I am having to deal with, when I really stop to think about it, I don't have any big problems at all, thank you God!

If you have a good mind and good health and a good spirit, then you have something more valuable than all the material wealth in the world can purchase.  Let none of us ever fail to recognize our blessings and be thankful for what is really important in life.  Red trucks are pretty far down on that list, or should be.  So please try to keep things in perspective and keep your chin up, buddy.  I am really looking forward to this weekend!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. This economy blows! I have taken a pay cut, but I still have my job and family. not to mention SOME of my airguns.

Tim, your thread really touched me and set off some serious emotion that I have not felt in some while. I feel for you and everybody else who is hurting in the world. You have much to be proud of and you are not afraid to show it. Your family is a beautiful asset that money nor possession cannot equal. Thank you for openly sharing the good times and the bad times that remind us all of what is really gold .
You are a true asset to everyone that you touch! Thank You Timmy. I say again, Thanks!

That is just the saddest pic I have seen in a while. Things will turn around and I hope this doesn't change your outlook for the longer haul. It could easily be anyone of us. At least you made the decision on your own, no matter how painful. So you are still The Man dealing with the harshness of life, not just the other way 'round. And I hope it gets better soon for you!

I hope the words to this song will help a  little Timbo.
 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnnfCohSLGQ

The world looks around me as I struggle along
They say I have nothing, but they are so wrong.
In my heart I'm rejoicing, how I wish they could see
Thank You, Lord, for Your blessings on me.

CHORUS
:
There's a roof up above me, I've a good place to sleep.
There's food on my table, and shoes on my feet.
You gave me Your love, Lord, and a fine family.
Thank you, Lord, for Your blessings on me.

I know I'm not wealthy and these clothes are not new,
I don't have much money, but Lord, I have You,
And to me You're all that matters tho' the world may not see.
Thank you, Lord, for Your blessings on me.

I came home one Sunday evening after being out of town and there sat my 75 Dodge truck in my
  • friends driveway, the front end was all smashed in.The radiator was touching the water pump. I got out, looked at my truck that NEVER let me down in 12 years, and cried .I just jumped in my car and drove off for 45 minutes, tears all the way.He " backed into it" so hard that the truck was a foot farther back from where I parked it. [ it had a 2500 pound camper on it!!]  When the wrecker came, the driver looked at me and said, [and I SWEAR this is true], " go ahead and cry, I see it a lot more than you would think" And I did. I was 38 years old. I know how you feel. Im sorry buddy, but its not dead, it will be loved again...
