Here is what I have learned about my air-gun's favorite diet: Six RWS air-rifles. All of the 177 guns seen to like any pellet I feed them. My RWS 350 Magnum seems to shoot anything well. But most of my shooting has been at 25 yards...and some at 100. At 10 yards I could not tell any difference at all. One thing noticed...change type, and or weight...I get a several inch POI change. Pick your best pellet, and zero with that one.
1. RWS 54, 48, 48/52 all in 177 like most JSB Exact Heavys, and JSB Exact 8.4 gr Next best, and real close is Beeman Kodiak, then RWS Supermag 25 yards, and at 100 yards JSB Exact
2. RWS 350 Magnum 177 likes JSB Exact heavy, JSB Exact, Beeman Kodiak, RWS Supermag, RWS Meisterkugein at 25 yards, at 100 yards it likes JBS Exact, Beeman Kodiak, and JSB Heavy. My RWS 350 seems to like just about anything I fed her.
3. RWS 46 177 likes JSB Exact 8.4 gr, RWS R-10, and RWS Meisterkugein 25 yards
4. RWS 460 Magnum 22 likes at 25 yards Beeman Kodiak, RWS Superpoint, and RWS Meisterkugein At 100 yards it likes the Superpoints the best...it does not like at any range Beeman Silver Arrow...even 10 yards!
5. My two Chinese QB 36-2 177 air rifles shoot best at 25 yards JBS Exact 10.4 gr, JBS Exact heavy, Beeman Kodiak, and RWS Meisterkugein, R-10, and Supermag
6. Sheridan Blue Streaks 2 ea like "hands down" Sheridan 5mm standard pellets best ( kinda minie ball shape, not diablo, stright side pointed pellet 16 gr)
I have never used any Crossman Pellets, I have used Savage coated 16.4 gr pointed pellets in the 460 at 10 yards, and Beeman wad cutter coated pellets in my 177 guns at 10 yards. I have not shot these at any range than 10 yards. My other air rifles have not been tested enough to learn anything. Again the big thing is POI change with a pellet change.
