i need prayers ,please

just found out on friday that my wife needed a hip replacement ,at this time i want to take her to get a second opinon cause i love her so much that i,ll do anything for her to be alright.we been together 25 years and have 5 boys and one daughter ,only 1 child the age of 14 lives with us and the rest live in maine on there own ,its gonna get hard cause i work from 10pm to 630morning then i cook clean walk 4 dogs then appointments u know the usual stuff we need to do .i cant see her in a wheel chair and the surgery takes 5 hours im more scared than her but i hide it cause im the strong one in the house .i depend on this forum to help me overcome this pain that i will endure .i pray everyday but i need more prayers as the tears rolls from my eyes i look up and ask for help from the heart.my sons and daughter dont really know the severity of this operation .it set up for two weeks for the 23 of april .when does my suffering end ......please brothers and sisters please pray for me it will mean alot to me .....thank u in advance ..GOD BLESS US ALL HERE AT THIS FORUM FROM MY HEART ....JORGE LOPEZ NYC.....LOL..

Nothing  is more powerful than a family that prays together. Our faith and belief in him is what makes us all endure the test on our mortal self until we return to him. The surgeon that is going to make her well is just a mere instrument of our lord. Your children which from her and your flesh and blood can help and prepare to endure this test with their support. To me..this is something that the family should talk about. Best wishes and God bless always.

My prayers go out to you and your family Jorge. If it makes you feel any better I have to friends at work that have had hip replacement surgery in the last year. They both admit that it's a pretty painful operation and the early stages of recovery are a lot of work, but after a few weeks it gets better. Just follow the doctors orders and the rehab should go smooth. If I ask them now how they feel about it they tell me that they wish they had done it sooner because they're so much better off now. Good luck friend and be strong for your wife.

Jorge, prayer can be a great comfort BUT why all the angst...does the wife have other problems??? I am looking at having a hip replacement this summer...I know of at least half dozen friends/family who have had the surgery and ALL of were up and walking within 24hrs of the surgery, albeit with crutches and with a cane within a week...all were near 100% after 3mos of physical therapy...none of them were ever in a wheel chair and all said the same thing...they wished they had done it a year or two earlier because it freed them from the pain and suffering they had been going thru...take heart, pray, stay strong, get her doing her PT and look on this as an opportunity for her(and you) to improve her(and yours) quality of life...

JORGE . I know it's scary right now , but it'll all work out . You'll see . My wife broke her foot last June , it's been wheelchair , crutches , or cane since. 5 weeks ago she had surgery and had a screw put in , because it wasn't healing properly . So we're starting over again. We're in the wheelchair phase right now . I feel your pain . I feel it's drawn us closer . It has gotten me back to going to church on a regular basis , since she wouldn't be able to go if I didn't take her .  I have a friend whose wife had a knee replacement a couple of years ago and she was up in no time . She said it was the best decision she'd made in years . No regrets at all. Best of luck to your wife and you, and I'll send a prayer your way . God Bless !! kirby

IM SO HAPPY THAT I HAVE FAMILY HERE THAT CARES AND I FEEL RELIEVED AND I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THE MANY PRAYERS BEING SENT. Jorge,,Anytime someone goes under the knife it's a scarey feeling,Thank God for modern technology that hips can be replaced,I know a couple of people that have been through the same procedure & the results have all been spectacular,they feel much stronger & have more mobility than before the surgery..  I also have a stubborn uncle that refuses to have the surgery,his case is a bit more complex because of his medical cond. with diabetes,I just wish he would go for it!!! Your wife & your family are in mine & Tanya's prayers,we prayer a speedy recovery!!!

Jorge, forget about the wheelchair, your wife won't even see one!!! They make you WALK 24 hours after the procedure. I know first hand because my wife has one, though she's only in her 30's. Yes, the operation is scary and long but it beats not being able to walk or being in severe pain. PM me if you'd like, my wife did her research before, she can probably recommend somebody in NYC or Westchester.
