I thought that was normal after a fresh lube tune?????

I had to wait until the glow plugs heated up and the light went off to fire mine.

Timmy, old horse, back off yer loads.  Whaddya shootin', Pyrodex pellets?  Sounds like a load recommendation from the kid behind the K-mart counter.  Get yerself some loose Pyrodex or 777 or, if you prefer, some FFg and start her out with about 70 grains.  And whatcha shootin', conicals or saboted pistol bullets?  Honestly, Tim, less is more.  Those inline makers all seem to recommend three pellets and a 400 grain slug which is ok if you are hunting moose, but overkill for deer and shoulder tendons.  If you shoot loose powder you can tweak your load in 5 grain increments to fine tune the accuracy.  And, boy'o, don't shoot that thang prone with them loads, lessen you want to part yer collarbone.
