Aw, I was just going to introduce that concept.

My turn for a public apology. Was sitting here with a headache, reading this thread and saw "liberal" which was, in all honesty, used correctly in context, not politically. I looked but did not see. That's what happens when you get too near the Tar Baby! *(&*% rubs off! So, my air gunning confreres, either leftus or rightus, I do hereby apologize. Mea culpa! Mea culpa! Skip to the end.

Yeah, I know. My wife had a cow about me wanting to buy a $600.00 night vision scope for my 909 Big Bore. I like the fact that the Marauder has an ambidextrous cheek piece. I'm in the process of making a tulip shaped(like an engine intake valve) ambidextrous cocking handle for my B50. It also has to clear the 4-16 scope sitting on it.
I was thinking about making a left handed breech and bolt handle for it but decided to just make a new cocking piece. Kind of like the cocking piece on a Moisin Nagant rifle. I'm making the first one out of steel because I have a piece that has the right shape and nearly right dimensions. The next one will be made from some Delrin I got from our airbud Daveshoot.

Case we sure not enemies, at least as far as I'm concerned !  I can say, That I hold no ill will toward anyone of our GTA Family.                                                                                                                                             . Now as far as PCP's are concerned, I had to make a decision about buying an airgun, that can shoot further than I can walk. So I will not venture into THE DARK SIDE !!!! I can't walk far enough to set up the targets ! HEHEHE.Bill

That's just a good excuse to buy a golf cart or 4 wheeler. I like the logic, anyway. " But honey, this one shoots so much further, I have to have a way to get to the targets to set them back up." I figure the Marauder should be a great small game gun. And since pellets are cheaper than ammo, and air is cheaper than blackpowder and flints/caps, it could have some serious long term economical benefits too. That's what I tell myself, anyway.
Plus it's shrouded and a 10 shot. Try to find a suppressed Ruger 10/22 for $500.bucks. Not gonna happen.

Plus, you can get the hand pump. That way, by the time you get to the point that pumping it up from empty is easy, the long walk to the targets will be nothing. I'm not saying that the hand pump is exercise, but I don't shoot my PCPs often and when I use my pump, I find muscles I had forgotten even existed.

Can't drink tonight. Gotta work tomorrow. Would hate to show up for a meeting smelling like a brewery. Looks like you're going to have a 24 hour head start on me.
