Darn, Brent. Some guy was just asking about a petrol boost or something like that. Didn't we have a video of Roger putting too much in one of his guns? Thought it might be interesting.

are you looking to buy a rws54 now?......ha!......brent shot my tuned 54 at the shoot and he said: " i think something is wrong with this gun, the action moves in the stock".....ha!!!!...duh?....of course we told him it was designed to do that...then he got one of those BIG grins on his face!!!!...20+ fpe in a springer with pcp-like recoil.  it was a great time for all.

brent & his wife and dave are really fun people to be around.  but they have these guns that sound broken?....ppphhhtttt...i really like brent's b-51.  it has some great stippling on.  brent is a fun guy to hang-out with.  he has lot's of "life-experiences" to listen to and laugh about......ain't that right ALBERT?....HA!

timmy has some video of me and joe shooting a gun doped up ......what ablast that was!...ha!....it almost put that big yankee boy in the dirt!...ha!....thanx tommy for allowing me to shoot your .17hmr. that was a real fun gun to shoot at 100 yards. oh yea, that browning a-bolt is really sweet too!....everyone forgot to mention that when we got tired of shooting airguns, we went to powder-burners!....let's see here.....17mhr, 22lr, .223 cal., .357 mag., .40 S&W, .50cal.......it was quite a display of fire power. then the entertainment started when the sun went down. bomb-fire, guitar playing, singing, cooking, drinking, cigar smoking.....skinny-dippin' in the pond....OH YEA!...i almost forgot....JOE GOT MOONED!!!!....for all you that missed it........YOU BETTER MAKE PLANS FOR THE NEXT ONE........perhaps in the fall? 8)

Hey Brent, I could not agree with you more about all the guys. Even though I have not met you or Dave yet just by reading all these posts and your take I feel like I do know you and Dave. I wish I could have made it but there will always be a next time. Out of all the shoot outs that I have attended I have met some great guys and made some great friendships. Those memories will always be with me..:) It is all about having fun with those who share the same interests.

Thanks for taking care of my new friend Ernie. He has the heart of gold and I knew he would fit inwell with all of us..:)

What an absolute great time it was!  It was great seeing all of you and I really enjoyed the shoot!!  Timmy and his wife were excellent host and hostess.  Ernie is a pretty good cook, too.  The only down side to the whole affair was Joe Cuz and Ahmad bugging out early on Friday before everyone got to meet them.  BTW, how did the Yankees fare in this weekend's game?  Come back soon Joe, we hardly knew ya.

PS:  Bhawana - I changed the spring out and lightened the trigger pull on the CZ-452 this afternoon.  It is now at 1.3 lbs on the Lyman scale -- not much more than the CZ-634!  Boom!  We have to shoot that one again soon.

yea the trigger was a little firm on that gun but it sounds like you have "doctored" it right up....that will certainly help with the pulled shots we had with it.  if i can talk ahmed into buying one of my airguns, i'll probably end up getting a .17hmr to play with.....btw....i shot some of those cp's in my savage this afternoon and they are great!! :)  maybe we can hook-up and go over to the "hunt club" and fire off some rounds ( i'll bring my 7.62mm remington ) .

Had a Fantastic Time at Timmy's...
« Reply #23 on: May 17, 2009, 02:35:54 PM »

First off I must thank Timmy and his better half Julie for being GREAT hosts and allowing us to have a FANTASTIC time at their place. I had the BEST time of my Airgun experience ever and it couldn’t have happened without them!!!

I met some awesome folks there that I’ve only seen on the GTA forum. Timmy, Roger, Ernie, Tommy and the infamous J. Woodcock. Also met Ping, First Mate Timmy’s Tour Boat Captain. Brent and his wife Crazy Rabbit had been to my house before for a fun shoot so they were the only ones there I had met before.

I shot so many different Airguns and powder burners that I’d never shot before I can’t rember what they were and everyone got to try out #008 Marauder. I have to say the icing on the cake was to shoot J’s big bore BB gun’s. Now that has got to be the Darkest end of the Dark Side you can go without falling off the edge!!!

There was plenty to eat and drink. If you got hungry or thirsty it was your own fault staying on the range…LOL Ernie was a great cook for our breakfast. Brent made is famous Blackened chicken…LOL The chicken J and I grilled was fantastic and was complimented by Crazy Rabbits pasta salad and fried squash.

I sure missed seeing Joe Cuz in person, but I did see some videos of him, as well as Gene and Bob. Guess you’re gonna have to do this again Timmy.

Man, shooting in my back yard just won’t cut it now that I’ve been on a 100 yd range, but it will have to do. Here’s a pic of my 100yd target with the Marauder. I’ll give a review of the Marauder soon and I hope any one that shot mine at the Fun Shoot will write their opinion too. For my first PCP I have to say it’s all I had hoped for. I’m very pleased.

I just wanted to jump in here and say that it was great meeting all of you guys(Timmy, Julie, Tommy, Roger, Ernie, J, Ping) @ Timmy's and of course seeing Dave again. Sorry Barbie didn't feel well enough to make it.
Brent "tried" to keep me from coming by saying Dave could pick him up but there was no way I was gonna miss it :)
I thoroughly enjoyed myself with the company present and the shooting. I don't remember everything I shot but I do remember Tommy's 223, J's (whichever one I got the mole that noone seen but me) and the DAQ, Timmy's "quiet" Discovery and Ernie's (I forget which one it was but I shot it ALOT!)
The food was good even if Dave forgot the corn on the cob I slaves over it! J/K!!
And as Brent said in not so many words, I out shot him on the DAQ. Of course J out did us all.
I am gonna close this post before you guys ban me for being silly! But a comment on Brent's big bore video, that "look" I gave him was because he told me to make sure to bolt back all the way to cock the DAQ and my thoughts were "why no honey I've never shot a gun before!"
So in closing, thanks for the great time and hopefully there is another meet in the future where more people can plan to make it.

Here is your Official welcome to the GTA. I was wondering when you'd sign in. Yes there may have been a slight conspiracy to leave you at home but I'm glad you stuck to your guns and came. It wouldn't have been the same with out you. Hopefully my better half will be able to make the next one. I did notice I forgot to mention the corn on the cob, sorry.

Thanks Dave. I'm use to conspiracies against me!! I knew we had something else with the chicken but had to rack my brains to remember what it was. Maybe it was the plastic we ate with it that caused the memory loss :)

Looks like a lot of fun and you get to meet everyone.  What could be better?  I regreted not being there.

The "turtle shoot" looks like a lot of fun too :)

I think Brent took a video of Tim shooting the Crosman Marauder.  I found it in another forum.  It's probably on here already.. maybe I missed it.  I knew as soon as I saw the video that it was Tim's fun shoot.. especially when that loud gun went off, I knew it was one of J's big bores :)
