Hey, so maybe there is a sliver lining to the illegal immigration problem here in the US after all? At least if the country is being overrun with illegal Mexican immigrants, the trend will be toward Roman Catholics more so than Muslims, right? But Global Climate Change will probably wipe us out before we have to worry about the culture drift problem, I suppose. Or maybe a mutant virus like the swine flu will do a quick end run and we won't have to worry about either eventuality. No matter how you slice and dice it, it looks bad for the WASP males of my generation. As I think about all the problems in California, maybe it does make more sense to give it back to the Mexicans instead of passing Californian's huge deficits on to the backs of taxpayers of other states. Here's another irony: it is the Blue States that seem to have most of the red ink.
