FS BSA Meteor .177
« on: May 10, 2009, 10:20:04 PM »
Selling my BSA because it needs to go to a better home where it will get used. Shoots 560-580's with 7.9 gn and shoots 610's with Beeman Lazers 6.5 gn. Has a single stage adjustable trigger with no creep. Cocking effort is about 17-18 lbs and probably only weighs about 5.5-6 lbs. This would make a great junior rifle. 100 shipped where legal.

if it's not too much of a problem, could you tell me the condition of the breach seal? is this rifle in need of a restoration/tune? Any rusting (i can't tell on the bsa logo if that is rust.) the hinge, does it feel solid? I would love to add it to my BSA family and get it on the range... thanks

Good.  I had to make myself pass on that one.  A couple three times.  That was/is a very good deal!

Received it!!!!  i love it!!! put a little 3-7x20 scope on it and it's decimating my starling issue. It shot 603 fps with rws basics (7.0) and it shoots so smooth. i lightened the trigger a bit too much and it almost fire itself while cocking it so i loosen the trigger adjustment and now its just right... is accurate to do 30 yard cans all day long with open sights. But with the scope is nothing but penny shots at 25/30 yards. is picky with pellets, and some are too loose. loves the rws and gamo hunters (weird...). fts go everywhere, crosman lites are ok, hevies are a big nono. The scope is a daisy 810, but i couldn't get myself to put a bigger scope (read: more modern looking). the 810 is very slim and classy, almost timeless. But i am looking for a BSA slim scope or vintage optic for it. It is a 1979 mk V.Thank you jason!!! I'll take good care of her.

Glad you find her useful Gabe. I don't collect em just shoot em. I'm all the way down to i think 3 springers 2 PCP's 1 CO2 rifle and 1 pump pistol. I'm sure that will change again by the end of the summer. I only have a couple that I will keep and never get rid of. Enjoy her she needed a good home. :emoticon:
