To much power
« on: June 01, 2009, 07:34:06 PM »
Never thought I would say that....
A few months back a guy sent me the mods to turn
my AR6 into a 93 FPE monster...Very simple to do..
bore/polish & round out the port corners....put a lighter valve
spring in from a pen....Add 50% more force to the hammer spring..
Woo Hoo dose this thing kick a$$ now..it was no weakling at 65 fpe
but that extra 30 fpe....It even cracks shooting eun jins so they
are leaveing  atleast doing 1100fps....but there's a couple of probs with it..
first - It leaks all the air out when left sitting..hammer spring is ever so slightly
holding the valve open...leave it cocked and no prob , have to put a ice cream
stick in to hold the hammer clear of the valve shaft.....
second - There is no repeter mod anymore , to much trigger pull required to
move the hammer against the hammer spring but no diffrents to trigger pull
when cocked manualy....
lastly - 10 shots drop the psi from 3000 down to 2000....
And yer can't use it ungaged..what a noise...

Have a bit more fun with it be for it goes back to standard....
Never thought I would say this....To much power even at 93 fpe
yer still can't shoot a dear or pig.......

O well it was fun any way
