Well to start things off, I usually don't put "graphic pictures"up butsome people might be a little queasy about this...

Why does it seem that trouble always seems to find my youngest son? Just a while ago he took a bike ride up to hunting area (just up stone road) well as he was coming back home, he decided to take a nice spill on the bike... needless to say, he now looks like he did last year, though a little better.

A little info about my son. He bikes like crazy, he usually puts on anywhere from 80-170miles on his bicycle every week!!! CRAZY, well anyway in the past three years he has crashed 3 times.... the 2nd time being the worse. He was going down a paved road, which was a hill, he says he got about to 50mph( which I can believe because I can get 40 on the same hill), when he took the corner to hard, had the bike slip out from under him, he then hit the road with his hands, proceeded to do a front flip, land on his back, and used his elbows as rudders, then proceeded to fly off the end of the road and get air born and go into a corn field.. well needless to say he didn't look to good, his left elbow was the worse, you could actually see the bone.

Well today as he was coming down the stone hill he got into a place were the stones had washed out, then flipped.... he doesn't look to bad, but also doesn't look the nicest.... He also says that the saying about if one part of your body hurts then pinch another part of your body to override the pain doesn't work, he says that his shoulder hurts chest, and also his hand....

Just a small part of being a kid.   I have 2 grown sons and I will tell you that accidents and such are  daily  occurances when they are growing-up.

grins....its always the youngest isnt it ?  ryan my youngest at 11, , has that same luck. last year, while getting ready to head out to the desert to ride the dirtbikes, he took a tumble from his skateboard,........wound up breaking his forearm ( and folding it a nice 90 degrees )
kids are tough....especially boys. ive learned to just sit back and take the bumps, bruises and scrapes as they come. lol.....makes it easy to compare war wounds........

Did I ever tell ya about the time I fell off a moving car when I was a kid? I was digging asphalt out of my face for at least a year. It was rough. I hit the road running, but couldn't keep up with how fast the pavement was moving beneath my feet. I rolled and bounced a few times. Got a nasty concussion and some deep road rash on both knees, left hand, right wrist, left chin, under left eye, left shoulder, etc, etc. My friends thought I was dead until I stood up. Turns out, going into shock is a great anesthetic. I was doing great until the little b**ch decided to floor it. She was my best friends girlfriend and it turns out that she considered me a threat to her dominance of his time, since we'd been friends since Moby Dick was a minnow. This was 25 years ago. Nowadays, I'd be rich and she'd be in jail.  Back then, you took yer lumps and tried to live long enough to outgrow yer stupid.
BTW, I too was the younger son.
