Do you have access to a chronograph? Maybe another forum member near you has one. It would be instructive to know whether your flyers are velocity-related.

Assume you re-lubed per Jeff's suggestion, and it is no longer dieseling?

I find RWS Superdomes shoot well in most mid-range springers and fit nicely. Then, I have pretty good luck with Premiers, too. JSB is top of the heap for most folks- when they aren't backordered.

Get some of the Crosman Hollow Points from Walmart and try them.  They fly well out of most of my guns.  Worth a try..

So the problem WAS my pellet selection.

The answer IS the Gamo Match!

the pellets that didnt work were:
RWS Diablo basics, Hobby, Meisterkugeln, Crosman Field Pellets, Crossman Premium Pointed.

Seems, all the pellets that didnt work, fit very loosely in the chamber.
The Gamo match gives you a little resistance (maybe its oversized?) and its a tack driver with it now. I am getting 1/2" groups at 2 yards!

thank you for all the inputs as I would have gone crazy if I didnt have anyone to talk to.
This forum is great, and the idea of trying the Gamo pellets came from reading various posts on this forum, so thank you all!

Yep, different guns even if they're the same brand/model can like different pellets....glad you solved your problem.

Too bad Gamo is putting out the 250 count tins of Gamo Match pellets....I don't know what's happening with their 500 count tins.  Maybe they're being phased out....  In Canada a few shops used to carry the 500 count ones....now most don't have them anymore.... And the prices are almost the same....$5.00+ for a 250 and $5.60 for a 500...what the heck?  Three of my air rifles like the Gamo Match pellets.....and I'm down to 2 tins.
Gamo: Expotec .177 + Big Cat .177 + Viper .177 + Whisper .177, Hammerli Titan .177, Diana model 24 .177, RWS-Diana P5 Magnum pistol .177, Crosman: G1 Extreme .177 + Storm XT .177 + Sierra Pro .177 + 1377 pistol .177, Air Arms S410SL .22, BSA Scorpion T10 .22, FX Cyclone .177, Remington Air Master 77 .177 + BB\'s,

Glad to hear you solved the problem  :)

Now just  sit back and have fun  :)

Matter of fact I'm headed out into my backyard after I send this post,,,,,, I put out a bunch of suet feeders yesterday and there is a large flock of starlings out there right now attacking the suet with abandon...   time to cull the herd with the trusty old QB-57  :)
