Magnum air rifles, and a broken wrist!
« on: July 09, 2009, 05:47:33 AM »
I broke my right wrist at a fireworks shoot in Tulsa a month or so ago, and it really makes it hard to cock and shoot air rifles.  But In love to shoot...so I do it!  My RWS 46 underlever is easy to cock, so it gets the most use.  My RWS 350 Magnum, and my Beeman barrel break guns are the hardest to cock with the broken wrist...so they get a rest.  A couple of days ago I was shooting my 460 magnum under lever gun...it was paimful, but I could do it.   And the RWS guns have a solid ratchet type cocking lever...no beartrap here.  So I am able to shoot...now to bring out my PCP guns!  Charge them up, and shoot!  No cocking here!

P. S.  I did take a spring gun out west with me to Provo Utah...shot it at 10,500ft in Colorado...it (RWS 460 22) seemed to shoot ok with "Superpoints".  Also shoot my 5-G 177 air pistol at 10,000ft...plinking at things, shot ok.
