Sounds like a great idea. Just need to have it somewhere that has a motel set up for wheelchairs for my kidsl I get 2 weeks vacation from August, kids have 1week Fall break in OCT. Kermit is probably driveable from AZ. Getting tired of shooting paper, so stole a FT design off the internet and made a couple to shoot at. Wife probably thinks I'm crazy, so this would show her I'm not alone,HAHA.

PBJ, were thinking about trying to get some member's together just for subject you mentioned. A GTA SHOOT AND BBQ, meet your fellow member's. It's still floating around member's so any location's that most can get to without having to cross the US would be a plus. Ed

We need a place with lots to shoot at and where the AR laws aren't too strict.
I'd host is at my place (could put one or two folks too) but North Texas is not an easy place to shoot.
crappy laws etc.
West Texas is good (jack rabbits) SC is good too (loads of squirrels and Sparrows)
We need a list of where everyone's at and try to choose a central location... tough job, too few
people have their location on their profiles. Everyone needs to provide their location.
This is a good idea and we should not let it die. Let me know what to do, I'll try and help out with
whatever I can.

I'm in North Texas too, but I don't have any access to any decent land.  SC isn't exactly close to me, and trying to coordinate work, kids, wifes work, etc wont be easy.  I'd almost have to fly in for a weekend, then fly right back out.  Driving would pretty much be out of the question.  Wonder what sort of airfare we'd be talking about....and hotel, rental car.....yowza, I think my wife just shot me an evil look from across the room and she doesn't even know what I'm thinking about...she just knows it has something to do with "airgun money".

You don't have to pay to show up. We could have it here anytime before or after our AAFTA Field Target event. It would be a bring your own BBQ meat and drinks kinda deal. But we sure have a big area to shoot with all kinds of targets. We have tons of regular field targets and mini field targets. Not to mention tons of spinners, paper targets, clay pigeons, etc.

Ya know if ya want a really nice stock, there's a few really nice laminate stocks out there, as well as stocking caps and of course celery stock, chicken stock, and walnut stocks.  A walnut stock will cost a bit more than a vege stock, but with the maple you usually get stuck with whatever is in stock!  ba dum bump!!!

I dunno 'bout Gene's place, but I'm not doing any camping mid summer out in Kermit....sorry bud, too hot for that.  I'm supposed to go visit my mom in early July out in Cali, but when I get back I may make it out to Kermit for a weekend trip....sounds like a blast actually.  I may make it out there sooner actually, think it's only a half day drive...maybe I could leave on a friday and come home on a sunday?  I'll have to plug the coordinates into Google Earth to see how far it is.  Do they run events often?
