I recently purchased a Remington Vantage 1000 and was finding that my 25 yard 10 shot open site groupings were horrid...6+ inches end to end with a pretty random scatter. I've asked around and a ton of folks suggested the GRT-III trigger. It just came in and installed with very little difficulty (THANK YOU Charlie-Bob for the directions and the video at your site...HUGE help).
I just ran off my first string of 10.
The bad news: max distance was about 7"
The good news:
What a difference in trigger feel. The stock trigger was pull pull pull pull puuuullllll bang. The GRT-III as more like pu..bang. Saweet! Much more like shooting a power gun.
5 of the 10 shots were in a nice little 2" x 1" cluster. This is totally new and I thing largely attributable to the new trigger.
I also, a big thank you to Charlie-Bob for putting up all of the tips. What the trigger didn't do, the tips did. They're great and helped me rethink both what I'm doing and how.
Now it's all me to get my groupings down to a nice tight circle.
For anyone new to this game, if you're using a stock trigger, don't think, don't wait, just get thee to Charlie's web site and buy one of his triggers.
