Disco Hot Price

So Sunshine wouldn't ship to Michigan and Airgun-supply.com is out.  Anybody have a lead on .177 Discos?  Rifle only.

Geez, did I miss out?

I just got my .177 Disco and pump from Sunshine yesterday. What a neat little airgun. Thanks to Geewhiz380 for your orignal post about this great deal. And Mark5043, you are right about it being easy to pump. Thanks to everyone for all your helpful information.

I am totally BUMMED... Sunshine called me yesterday and said the Disco was sent back as undeliverable.

He's reshipping it...should be here Friday. I'll have to talk to the UPS guy because I have been sitting at the curb like a lost dog daily waiting for it.

No way it was undeliverable...

UPS is supposed to leave a note on your door letting you know that they were there to deliver an item that requires a signature and they are supposed to try again on the next business day.  I know this to be true because when I ordered my Marauder it wound up that UPS was going to deliver it while I was away on a trip.  I called UPS and they told me of the above procedure and told me not to worry because they would come back the next business day, which in my case was a Monday.  Sure enough I got home, found a note on my door telling me they'd be back on Monday and when Monday came they showed up with my rifle.

Andy,,,, why don't you buy the combo from airgun supply and just sell the pump.

Sometime, the wait is the best part of buying things...all the high and lows.  I'm sure when you get it, you'll be ecstatic :) .

No UPS "you weren't home" sticker. As a mater of fact...I talked to him just now.

He lives a few blocks from me, so we know each other. He said he never had any delivery for me.

The plot thickens!!!

As long as it gets here in one piece, I'll be happy!

Gopher, I know what ya mean about the agonizing wate. I ordered mine on August 24th and didn't get it until Sept. 22nd. but there was some kind of problem at Sunshine. When UPS dropped it off yesterday he said he didn't need a signature, which seemed strange. The Discovery will be worth the wate, especially at that price. I love mine, almost took it to bed with me last night but I thought I would roll over on it and hurt myself. Good luck to you with your new Discovery.

Yep...UPS has screwed mequite a few times with me waiting in my living room. No delivery, no note/sticker, and no brown truck even driving by. I can hear and see em comin. Deliveries down the street at the wrong address....Driver swearing he delivered to the right address....me catching him delivering to the wrong address and snagging the package from the wrong address's porch...oh!!! those guys *_*_*_*_*_* me off sometimes. And, to their credit...way more successful deliveries without a problem. But I get that tracking# and watch em like a hawk. Its better to be on top of the delivery than to wait for a few days after it should have come...and then start asking questions.

I even had one driver, who I met in my driveway, tell me that I needed to sign for the package...then just handed me the package and drove off. Later, I checked the tracking# and the driver had written as proof of delivery..."met customer man". Weird times man...weird times and strange days. Oh yeah, and then there was the driver who was visibly upset, and told me that I was ordering too much stuff. She had delivered to my house several days in a row. Small packages, no big deal, but to her...there was something wrong.

Shipping was only $20, but they're all gone at that price.

Your best bet is to keep checking the BarginGate for the next deal.

I'm just wondering how many people are having trouble with their orders at Sunshine.I hear the owner is a great guy,so I ordered from him instead of Air Gun Supply.I placed my order for the Disco, and the pump on 9/16.It has now been one week, and my order is still in the processing phase."Okay no big deal, people get busy, and over loaded,it happens"I know this because I work from home in online sales.Personal issues? No problem..they happen too. Here's the issue I have, and please keep in mind that I am not contesting the owner's  character in any way.My concern is that I am hearing of forum members such as chuckster750800 getting their order 3-4 weeks after the order? If it takes 3-4 weeks to get an order,I hope chuckster750800,is located on the other side of the globe.LOL! I called the owner,a few days back, and said he would check on it for me,and never got back to me.I sent an e-mail inquiry today so I will see if that works.

Okay so one possible  situation is that  maybe he doesn't have the Disco's at his physical location, and is drop shipping from another supplier.Again,no problem,as I do this myself from time to time,in my business. However even when I use this method, or any method it never takes more than five or six working days for a customer to receive the order, anywhere in the U.S.If it did,I would be finding out why.Keeping up to date on tracking numbers is simple, and If there was going to be a delay, then my customers would be informed of when the order will get there, and if there was an issue, exactly what the issue is.Again I have no knowledge of exactly what is going on,so maybe I should keep my mouth shut.I do feel there is a problem, when a customer has to wait weeks for an order anywhere in the U.S.It just shouldn't happen ever. The owner was  very nice on the phone, but in all honesty,I'm starting to regret placing my order. It's only fair to a customer to keep them informed, and in the loop of the transaction.

I would keep calling George at his 305-281-0934 cell phone number. He is hard to get a hold of so try on Saturday morning and leave him a message, that's what worked for me. I don't know this for a fact but I think some of the smaller dealers wait to ship until they get funds transfered from the credit card companies to their account because of cash flow.  Just something I have heard.   It is frustrating not hearing anything or not getting any conformaiton, I know it was for me, but Sunshine did come through.

Ifyou get totally frustrated...transfer the sale to me.

Just kidding you!

I'm kicking myself for not ordering two.

I think he's a one man show, and I would bet he got totally over whelmed with this sale.

I'm sure of two things: 1) He will come through.2) He won't be doing it again any time soon.

The trouble that I had with mine was that UPS screwed it up. I'll find out tommorow if it comes in like it's supposed to.

Okay,
George at Sunshine did respond to my e-mail,and sent out the Disco, and pump.It should arrive on 9/29.It just looks like he has been really busy, which is good.It was
just the lack of communication, and the fact that I have never done business with him before, that was causing my concern. So two thumbs up for Sunshine!
