vincent,...here are my thoughts;
although there appears to be quite a controversy regarding gas rams, i'd still like to install one in ryans big cat. the trigger has been replaced with one of charlies drop-ins, taking away one of the primary faults with the gamo. there is still the "twang" however to contend with.
i'd like the gas ram , particularly as it allows for a heavier hunting pellet without fear of spring fatigue, and it does away with the rough firing cycle associated with both spring and synthetic stock.
altitude here in san diego is for the most part , sea level to 1000ft. so that in and of itself is no problem.
im hoping the gas ram will help alleviate some of the issues pointed out and make this a more enjoyable shooter for ryan. he still has his qb and the winchester 1000 he can use, though the gamo remains his favorite.

ideally,..............i'd love to send the gamo and a gas ram to gene for install and tune; with the hopes his worksmanship can be used to assist others in both pros and cons of the gasram mod. that of course is up to gene, if not, then i can always send it to PA...........of course my preference lies with gene in this aspect.
