Bad Scope or Is It Me?
« on: September 20, 2009, 03:33:41 AM »
Hello, being relatively new to AGs at this level I have allot to learn, so please bear with me.  :)
I have a new Leapers Accushot 3-9x44 AO mil-dot scope. When I adjust the power to about 8 or more I see what appears to be and is the inside of the scope tube.
Moving my head and/or eye has no positive affect towards eliminating this phenomena. :0
Am I loosing my mind or what's left of it, LOL or is my new scope defective?
None of my other scopes have this affliction.
All reply's are greatly accepted.

tia...... Eddy

Seems like your scope eye relief is set too close. Might help to slide the scope forward then check..mark where you normally rest your cheek and should see the eyebell & crosshair minus seeing the inside of your scope. Try here mid section >> http://www.pyramydair.com/site/articles/scopes-part2/

Thanks BENTONG, Yeah I read and did all of the setups from suggested link, same problem soooooooo I tried again and what I did find was that @ higher magnifications you have to search forever to get a clear picture, verrrrrrry sensitive along with some grayness with loss of sharpness.
All in all it's a great scope except at higher powers where I need it the most do to old eyes.

Thanks......Ed
