My mother is due for back-to-back cataract removal surgeries. Prayers please if you don't mind. I'm her only living blood and as any good son would do I'm going to be leaving Texas for Northern New Mexico this Sunday. I figure I'll be in NM the next 6 to 8 months to give Mom a hand. I have to try really hard not to put too much weight on her while I'm there- she loves my cooking!
I'll be offline until I get my laptop up and running when I get there. Melissa and I have agreed that it's a good idea and I'll definitely be coming back. I am going to miss my Goddess half and her two boys. They're Great! It's been fun, it's been real and given the circumstances I don't feel too badly leaving to take care of my mother until she recovers.
So "TexasShooter72" will remain TexasShooter72 but I'll be in better hunting territory! The fishing's really good, the scenery is gorgeous and the food... my favorite restaurant on this planet is 5 blocks away! El Paragua in Espanola for those who know the territory. If you're ever in the area you might wanna stop by El Paragua for the BEST Mexican food you've ever had!
Bitter/ Sweet it is leaving the love of my life. The only thing keeping me together is knowing that we'll be right back in each others arms by next summer(if all goes well with Mom of course). Well, that and the thought that I'll get to backpack, snow-shoe, snow camp, fish, hunt, explore, play rock-hound in any number of gem mines and geological anomaly's. Taos, Santa Fe, Truchas, Youngsville, Chama.... yeah. God's country!
