Be nice to me I am new here...

I may be new to this forum but not to the world of airgun fun.

Learned of this forum from a friend of mine and user of this forum, Black Mamba.

Those of you who are wondering I currently have a Gamo Shadow Hunter and a recent purchase of a RWS 350 (thanks daved).

Why did I get into this sport, well Black Mamba is part of the reason.  The rest of the reason has to due with my property and surrounding neighbors properties being overrun with chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits and ground hogs.  Frankly I got tierd of my yard looking like a exploded mine field every spring when the varmits start digging up all of their food they buried in the fall.

So as of late summer 2006 the neighborhood is now short about 15 squirrels, 3 chipmunks and 2 rabbits.  With the help of the RWS 350, hopefully the ground hog will disappear this year.  The .177 cal. rounds just do not have the punch through power required to crack the skull of a ground.  

Anyway thanks for letting me in here, hopefully I can share my shooting stories and what little airgun knowledge have with all of you.

Welcome Kevin, you've come to the right place. GTA is just one big airgunnin family and we alway's welcome new member's and advice. We have some fellow member's here that are very helpfull and we all put our head's together to solve a problem or just to chew the fat. Sound's like you may be a hunter type guy or atleast varment control, so please feel free to post pic's or a hunt story in the Hunting Gate. Also check out the Album section, lot's of great pic's of member's, gun's and game. I'm just a hunting guy and you will come across a few of the other great hunter's on here. Welcome Kevin, I'm new here also and also just recently got a 350. I've ordered
a new scope and mounts for it that should get here tomorrow.

Actually Dave, he was over here last weekend and he shot it a bunch! ( He never did give it to me to break in)  ON my new Trigger Happy Target Bench no less!   I'm sure he'll chime in but to say he likes it would be an understatement.  He and I were putting very big holes in lots of gallon jugs (at 26 degrees F) for hours.  Took him awhile to get it sighted in and it wasn't till he stopped using the rice bag and just used his flat palm that he got deadly.  But he did.  I really don't think the ground hog has a chance in H E double hocky sticks this spring.

If you know were Lake Geneva, Wis. is located, head 6 miles south to Pell Lake.

It is one of those areas that you need to drive an hour to find something fun to do.

I know rightwhere lake geneva is about 20 minuets west of here.. I know where pell lake is also (used to date a girl from there)  
cool cool to have people local.. might have to get a shooting day goin once it gets somehwat nice out

I can not possiblely ruin this place anymore than you have.
