I am finding that 4 to 6 pumps seems to work best for my accuracy and maybe 6 is optimum although it may only be psychological for me:) I am curious to know if anyone else has got scientific about how many pumps/FPS is optimum for the 1377 ? below is a chrony test I did a few months back. Tony
"This is Quote from a post I did back in august" = Thought this was interesting info for us "1377 people" that don't mind the pumping part:) I fired 5 shots through crony and got the average FPS, using different amount of pumps . note also that the spread was no more than 18 fps max for all strings most were less. 2 pumps=331 fps, 4 pumps=432 fps, 6 pumps=508 fps (best consistent), 8 pumps=558 fps, 10 pumps=585, 12 pumps=609 fps, 14 pumps=637 fps, 16 pumps=654 fps.
The 1377 is great iron sight air pistol and very accurate, way more accurate than me:) I do not believe the standard sights on the 1377 allows it to reach its full potential! So I am going to order a steel breech replacement from crosman so I can experiment with better iron sights and see what happens:) Hope see more 1377 people in the multi pump target arena:) Tony.
