This Cant Be Good?? :(
« on: October 06, 2009, 09:22:05 AM »
Thats what I was thinking the last few days when I felt a "Buldge" in the bathroom floor.:o I ignored it.:p Then it happened,, the wife asked me this am: Whats going on with the bathroom floor?? Its buldged up & the door wont even open??:0 Seems the toilet has been secretly leaking for years. What a rotten mess.:0 Thankfully this type of work is what I have been doin for 35 years!!:o 8) As if I aint got enough on my plate tryin ta finish the new roof & tryin ta get several custom stocks done,,,,,, now I got a complete bath remodel job ta do!!:0 To those that were here for my last Fun Shoot,,, this is the lil half bath downstairs. And,,,,,,,,, I was informed today that the Church Group/ Boy Scouts will be here on the 17 th for a Camp Out!!:o Man I gotta get busy!! There is a good side to that news however,,,,,,,,, the next planned event here will not be till Thanksgiving. That leaves us WIDE OPEN for another FUN SHOOT!!!!!!Im thinking the weekend of Oct. 24 or 31. I will post soon about that!!8) I still plan on going up this weekend to visit Me Pop,s8) I had planned on stayin all next week or till he kicked me out :p I had planned on getting some "Chores" done on his house. Looks like I will have to head back home Mon. to remodel a bathroom now!!:0 Geezzee!!:0 Timbo.

Oh, Timbo!  What you view as a nightmare, the missus views as a blessing in disguise.  Don't you know she has secretly been wanting to do a little remodeling on her own?  Why, she's been pouring water around that toilet for months now in preparation for her remodel.  Maybe, the church group will take up a special offering to help you out with the expenses of that new vanity and all them little knicknacks she noticed in her 'Southern Living' magazine!  You wouldn't want to spoil her fun and plans now do ya?  hehehe

Of course, those of us with stocks leaning up against our closet walls with your name on them are praying for you, bud!  Hang in there; we've all been there.  That's why there's a Lowes or Home Depot on every corner!!!!  joe

The downside is he's been storing all those custom stocks on their butts in that bathroom!  Now they're all "swell"! :-)

Timmy, once you get the floor system straightenned out,..I'd recommend tile! LOL's If you go back over it with another wood flooring, I'd recommend poly,....and I mean alot o' poly!!!! Imagine way back when,...looking at the old textile mill floors,....like an 1/8" thick layer of poly-eurathane. Think 'glass finish'!!!! Have fun!! LLH, tjk

Tim, a suggestion - how 'bout a nice ebony end cap under that crapper when yer done?  And  maybe some tiger stripe maple behind.  That way, if you should miss, the runs won't look out of place.

Does JM make an Apex toilet seal???  Might as well rebuild that, too, while you're at it.  :emoticon:

Now Yer pushing it Red!!:o Im getting all new fixtures. However,,,, I gotta admit,,,,, you would NOT believe all the things I use JM lubes on now!!8) JM clear is the best stuff in the world for ALOT of non airgun uses,,,, just ask "T-Cups" how good it works on high end door hinges!!(And locks)8) And of course,,,, the new toilet will have all new "Tezla" seals!!:p Timbo.

Geez Timbo that looks like an opportunity for a rubber base/ polished oak floor system finished of with a walnut burl seat :) I wonder if you can make a blue laminated toilet bowl and tank? Hope the repair goes quickly for you and not to many change orders, Tony.   In the mean time I found this plan.
