If your just plinking the 89 probably is ot what you want but I can't see anything more accurate if you do your part, and I'd rather have a synthetic seal than leather but that's just me, iff I wanted a great plinker I'd get a Mike Melick B26 in .177, maybe a tad overkill but talk about smooth and a great trigger

I look forward to shooting a tuned B26. You only hear great things about them. You are probably right about it for plinking if all I hear is true!

They have a lot more power than a strictly plinking gun but SMOOTH is the one word that describes a B26, I love the trigger more than the triggers on my Savage rifles and that's saying a lot, the .177 B26 would be a good all around gun for plinking and could still handle pest, and they cock like butter, truely a all day shooter
