On the run
« on: March 15, 2007, 11:04:33 AM »
Got home from the coal mine's today (work) and headed out to the shop with the Shadow sport to do some range shooting. Half way there I hear some chattering so I froze. I didn't bother looking around, I just pulled out the tin of Gamo Hunter's and chambered one. Without moving my body I did a head scan, searching the tree's for the source. There at about 20 to 25 yrd's at the top of a evergreen sat the chatterbox. He was looking right at me so without moving my stance I swung the Shadow up and set the crosshair's. That's all it took, he was off and running and I had to make a shot before he jumped to the next tree. I lead him with the crosshair's and took the shot, knocked him right off the limb.! Sorry guy's, it wasn,t a headshot. Got him in the midsection but when he hit the ground not a twitch. Not to bad for bushtail on the run. Ed

LOL Dave, sometimes you just gotta go for it.! I bet against myself all the time hehe and that's what makes me better myself trying to shoot these finicky airgun's. The hanging target's in my loft/range help. I get them swinging and take my shot's. Moving foward, never straight. Ed
