Fisrt Blood for my "old" Rich Tuned CFX
« on: March 18, 2007, 09:30:40 AM »
I had spent about 5 shots sighting it in at 25 yards and then proceeded to punch the bull out of the target with the next 8 shots,
with no flyers. I decided to go back with the GAMO Rockets they are more uniform in shape and fit.

A Grackle landed on top of the tree I have the target under just as I'd finished zeroing in the scope.... temptation got me.
I had to take a shot, it dropped like a lead weight. Not a head shot though, I got it through the lungs / heart.

Thanks guys, here's how the scope / rifle was doing at 25 yards, just before he landed in the tree:

He didnt stand much af a chance I guess. If youve never tried the Gamo Rockets, try them. Man they shoot
as straight as an arrow and hit pretty hard.
