Great!
Looking forward to you posting the results and some pics.  My AK shoots great but really needs a tune. Sounds like somebody draggin' chains across rocks when I cock her.
I'm sure she needs a good lube...lol. ;)

as i still have mine apart ! & looking at what could do that ? . I thinking is the muddy oil along with the
Ritchet still cocking arm I took 400 wet paper too it.
But the spring was a big thing as in longer & took so doing too get all of it in the small chamber !

I don't know what it will shoot now but it's got to be strong??. there's allot of force on that pin, so I put a 1/8 harden pin beside it.
As for today I got it together & back apart 3 times!
keep forgetting the cocking arm slot to line up!!
Well that was my day.
:) still haven fun in TX..

Ron, I'm really looking forward to hearing  your report on the first test fire session  :)

The QF-2 spring will indeed give it a bit more "ZIP"  :)

Oh BTW......just some advice..... when you're all done with your tune, happy with the results and ready to install your scope make sure you do yourself a favor and glue down the scope rail onto the receiver.  That tiny little screw that secures the rail to the top of the receiver has a tendency to come loose over time from shooting vibration even if you use loc-tite (which you should) and with a scope mounted it's very hard to get a screw driver in there in order to tighten it up again.   The answer is to lay a bead of "Goop" adhesive on the bottom of the rail and then screw the rail down tight onto the receiver.  After you do this some of the "Goop" will squeeze out from under the rail.  Let this harden up a bit and then slice it off cleanly with a small knife blade.  After you do that put the gun aside for at least 24  hours and let the "Goop" cure.  Once you do this your scope rail will never come loose again.

I did this on both of mine and both rails and scopes are still rock solid......

Thanks Jeff,
I just tryed to get one of the pin's !Pined in & going round & round Pin one side & the other side pop's out Dang it!!
it may not look the greatest but I'm going too put some JB weld on the pin's,
there allot of things I learned from this Home Tune job?/ don't over polish the cocking foot, know where you are Drilling, Broke a 1/8th off in the side I was going to Pin extra!.

Harbor FT has Break hones for $4.99?
had to hone out the chamber for about 1 1/2 hour too get all the cut's out.

(?) I could not find silacone lube any where!!
so I used moly 60 in the back of piston in chamber ?
Is this OK ?
Also I used Ultra Blue RTV silicone  too make a gasket inback of the main seal ,That made a tighter fit.
And too top it off-- I got a Bad tooth that comes up or out monday :(. Been putting it off for about 3-4 years!!
the pain is up too a 9 1/2--of 10.. So will see how it goes.

South Summit has the B3's for 39.99
& the under levers for 49.99 .
Both rate at 550fps but you can Zip them up with the Kit they sale I think?

I'm having too extend the metal stock for my long arms!
the AK47 is short!.
