A newbie just put things into perspective for me
« on: November 22, 2009, 04:28:59 PM »
New shooter in New Zealand who just "joined" the Dianawerk. He recently bought himself a 54. Worked three months to pay for it. Me, I've been picking them up and hoarding them away. Made me remember back when all of this foolishness started, and not just in air guns. I probably don't appreciate 90% of my stuff as much as he does that one gun. Think I'll do some serious whittling on the collection soon. Got to start scrounging up the boxes. (That's the worst part around here. Boxes are considered sacred cows at the local gun shops.) Ya'll stand by now.

Well Sir,  you could just give them away.   Christmas is approaching after all.   Surely some  members of the GTA have been good this year and a nice AG would be very nice " in thier stockings hung by the fire in hopes that Santa would soon be there".

Usually, when I have a "feeling" come over me for what ever reason, I just lay down until that  feeling goes away.

Gentleman of Fortune.

Hum-bug!

Not me, sir. When your short list of "can't live withouts" creeps over a dozen, time for a self-intervention. Same way with rimfires. Like eating peanuts. When it comes to those, there's one gun that I sold years ago which I think I could have been well satisfied with as an only gun today - for real, and I've had some guns. Just would like to get back to something like that. I spend too much time chosing which to shoot, then digging it out. If you know what I mean.

I will keep you in mind for Santa.
