Bill, don't worry , I wouldn't sell them all . LOL I was thinking of selling a couple , thinning the herd so to speak and financing a new canoe . it amazed me how it got to where I thought $600 was a reasonable price to pay for a quality air rifle and I look around and I can get a nice canoe for around $400 . A couple of years ago the $400 would have seem too much . Airguns have changed the way I look at other collectibles/hobbies . kirby

I think Crowpopper and Gene solved your problem.Hook it, reel it in, shoot it, eat it! or shoot it, net it, eat it. Plus target shooting at the bank! You could solve the Combat Fishing problem. If you are REAL good, you can shoot the other guys lines without them knowing it. At the end of the day practice on the worms. SEE, YOU DONT HAVE TO GIVE UP A HOBBY!! COMBINE THEM!!

Why not wrap some guides on your rifle barrel and install a reel in the stock. Sort of the Popeil Pocket Rifle Fisherman, AS SEEN ON GTA! :p

Doesn't really sound like a problem. Seems pretty normal to me, we play at something, get bored and want try something else we enjoy. Key words here are we are "doing", and that's not all bad. It also sounds like a lot of us here like the same things other than airguns, we fish, canoe or kayak, and enjoy being outside and enjoying life, seems like it's all good. Don't sell those guns just yet, wait for the cycle to repeat and have another go at it. Have you ever tried the Native kayak to flyfish from, google it, you might like it. Have fun in what ever you do today, you never know what tomorrow will give us.

I'm NOT selling all of my airguns and giving up the sport . I'm just taking a break for a while . Maybe sell a couple out of the herd . Trust me I won't miss a couple of them if I do . There's some I'll most likely never sell , Like my Prosport . kirby

David I can understand the fishin thing completely.. I am in fishin mode right now also... If you and tommy do decide to make a trip here I will take ya both out on the flatscat and let ya flyfish off the bow, or we can toss 3 kayaks on the bow and hit the marshes for some redfish action... Its called a texas sleigh ride when ya hook a biggun...

In my younger years, I lived in Missour and had much more of the 4-season weather.  So it was only natural that you fished in the spring and summer and then hunted in the fall and winter.  Now that I live in South Carolina, it is warm most of the time, and I don't really hunt much any more.  None of my kids really got the passion to fish, though they all did fish when they were young.  Young Master Adam did fly fish a bit with his dad, but I think it was more wanting to hang out with "Pops" than it was his love of fishing.

Good to hear from you Randall.  I thought maybe you and Ronbeaux had dropped off the edge.  BTW, I need to tell you that you now have me and the wife hooked on grilled shrimp.  I bought some large Gulf shrimps after the NTAGM shoot where you cooked and made something very similar for my wife.  Now every time she sees nice big shrimp at the market, she seems to bring home a pound or two -- "Honey, I bought some shrimp for you to grill for us tonight!".

It would be good to get together for a guys weekend and do a bit of fishing and shooting and grilling and fish frying and beer drinking.  We need to plan a trip for the spring.

Be going fishing in the AM. The airguns been useful for raccoon and squirrel reductions, but no redfish in the yard. John
