CFX
« on: December 18, 2009, 03:23:16 PM »
Hi, I'm new to the forum and just did a lube tune on my new CFX. After putting it togethe and cocking it, i noticed that the cocking arm is rubbing against the compression tube. I took it apart several times and can't figure out what is causing problem. Any ideas?

Theres a small plastic block that goes
on the cocking arm to stop that happening..

bet yer didn't notice it and it droped off..

Its a small square U shaped thing...

Go to the Libaray on this site.....Theres a parts diagram
of a CFX....Part number - 16080

Not the rollers..... the U shaped block....sits around the cocking arm by the rollers....And holds
the arm clear of the tube...
go to the attachment below...part number 16080 is the block/ Rollers are part number 14300

A little late to help with your prob....but I see you got it fixed. And yeah....the little plastic square part that looks abit like a U....sits on the cocking linkage between the compression tube and the cocking arm. That's how it is with the Gamo Viper, Big Cat and Whisper.....so I'm thinking it's similar with your CFX.

my big cat was doing the same thing it was because i put the spring in backwards i guess it was bent about 2 inches up when i took it apart so i put that end into the piston end. had to take it apart and swap ends now no more grinding
