i lost my best friend today...
« on: December 23, 2009, 11:08:52 AM »
i haven't had a dry eye since this morning. my best friend was killed in an automoblie accident this morning. no one really knows what happen but they suspect he swerved to miss a deer and lost control of his truck. it was a one vehicle accident so no one will never know what really happened. this man was a genuine pillar of the community. he worked with handicapped children for 37 years and was always doing volunteer work to help the handicap with fund raising events. i played golf with him almost every week for the past 15 years and i will miss him as much as anyone. HE WAS MY BEST FRIEND!!. i just talked with him yesterday and we were planning on playing golf next week. he was going to retire in june 2010. he leaves behind a wonderful wife and a very talented 16 year son who has the ability to be pro golfer if this tragedy doesn't alter his interest in golf. i hate to dump this on the forum but i just had to write my feelings somewhere that others i know can read about him. he was the greatest. he would always say" you bring the cigars and i'll bring the beer"...his name was GLEN BLEDSOE and i miss him so terribly much already just knowing that i won't ever get that phone call again from him wanting to go play golf and drink beer. i have cried til i'm almost dehydrated, its hurts so much!....please don't respond to this post as i don't want it to linger around with sympathy notes but instead reflect on what you have.....it can be gone in a blink of the eye. tell your family how much you love them and let your friends know how much they mean to you. stay in touch with your friends, even if its just a quick phone call to say hello. we get so wound up in our own worlds sometimes that we forget how much other people contribute to our lives. thank you for reading this and please remember his family in your prayers for this is suppose to the season for happiness and love but for some of us its a time of sorrow and grief. go hug your children and kiss your wife and be thankful for what you have,,,,,
