Anyone have a bone stock Mrod? What power, shot count and accuracy are you getting? Any problems? I'm looking at another pcp but its weight is a concern. That's way I'm asking about the mrod. Thanks

I got mine this past Friday and can't imagine a better gun. This gun has it all, the power I crave, the accuracy I dream of and the lack of noise that allows to me to continue living amongst my neighbors. The only gripe I have is that the clip included with the gun was for a .22 and I ordered a .177. Fortunately I ordered 2 spares that were correct and I was golden for my first weekend of playing with the gun. The scuba tank adapter was another matter, but its all straightened out now and life is good. These guns are incredibly accurate and amazingly quiet. I'm not sure how I could be happier with my marauder.

Jason,,, my .22 cal M-rod is still bone stock and it's shooting so nicely I don't plan on changing a thing  :)

Mine arrived set up by the factory for a 2500 psi fill and it performs so well I just left all the factory settings in place.  The only adjustment I made has to do with the trigger and all I was lighten the trigger pull by giving the adjustment screw 2 full turns.  It lightened the trigger up nicely and it's now perfect for me.

As for accuracy,,,, with the right pellets my M-rod is amazing.  Mine hates anything "JSB" but it likes several other pellets that hunt just fine for me including FTS, brown box CPL's, CPHP's, Predators and of course Kodiaks.  The Kodiaks are the rifles all time favorite and that's what I'm using in her now.  All of the pellets I've mentioned will shoot dime sized groups from my M-rod but the Kodiaks will literally stack pellet on top of pellet all day if I do my part.

As for FPS and shot count....... I did extensive chrony testing on my rifle when I first got it and I was really impressed with the numbers.  Starting with a full 2500 psi fill and shooting 14.3 gr pellets I did 60 shot strings.  The Fps would start out around 850, steadily rise to the 920 range where it would stay for around 20 shots and then it would slowly decline until at shot #60 I was back in the low 800's.  The sweet spot on my rifle seems to be from 2300 - 1900 psi. This is, as I said, all with factory settings.

When I did chrony testing with the 21 gr kodiaks I did 50 shot strings.  Again, starting on a 2500 psi fill it would start out in the high 700's, rise to the low 900's where it would stay for around 20 shots and then it would very slowly decline until at shot #50 I was back in the 700's.

When I first got my M-rod I did have a problem with occasional  flyers, but the rifle had the "old" baffles in it that weren't bored out large enough and it was causing a clipping problem.  I called Crosman and they express shipped me a set of the "new" baffles and once I installed the new baffles the flyers disappeared.

As for the rifles weight,,,,, I don't find it particularly heavy but remember, it comes with sling swivels already installed.  I put a nice sling on my M-rod and I can roam the woods all day with the rifle and never get pooped out  :)

Hope this helps ya out.....

I'm looking forward to ordering a .25 cal M-rod when they become available.....

Jeff

Something nicer might be the Evanix Renegade from Pyramyd air for the same or a bit lower price right now. The Evanix rifles I have seen have been very good with plenty of power.

Thanks for info guys. I kept reading gotta get it tuned but, a tune and scope and I'm in the 725.00 plus shipping. The only Evanix rifle that interested me was Blizzard because it's shrouded but, its close to 10 lbs scoped. This rifle really is going to be for me pops. I have a MA 2260 PCP Hunter for myself and I'm happy with it. I wanted a med power relatively light multishot PCP for pops. Thanks guys I should be hitting the button as soon as the IRS lets go of my money. LOL

I still have #39 bone stock... and I'll just add, "what Jeff said" (LIH). I might go for the tune some day but I don't see how this could be a lot better.

Is 'MRod' the solution for those who cannot spell Marauder?

I thought M-Rod was that guy who plays basketball.

The Marauder and/or the Blizzard will probably be my next PCP's if I intend to add to my collection. It'll be awhile before I purchase another airgun......I don't have enough time as it is to cuddle all the members of my harem now. Just glad to read all the comments and good times you guys have withthe M-Rod.

Some of my Marauder videos.

I had my marauder for a couple months and I love it.
Its shoots great and is so quiet it sounds like a basket ball dribble when fired.
That combined with my duct seal silent pellet trap makes stealth beak yard shooting.

I made a few vids on youtube.
One me shooting a Marble`s shot off a golf ball at 45+ feet (and breaking it in half.
