new years day relaxation............
« on: January 01, 2010, 11:35:21 AM »
well, my oldest son tristan was out playing basketball, my sweetheart heather and daughter maiah were having lunch on the beach............so ryan and i went shooting !!
beautiful low 70 degree san diego day, no clouds, no wind,.............and no critters.
to keep us occupied, we set out to do some long range shooting. ryan had his big cat, me, i had the disco. shots were out to 100 yards, well beyond what ryans  big cat is good for;......... though ryan was having pretty good results at hitting 1/2  liter water bottles out at 50-70 yards.
ryan is definitely hooked on a disco.............( keep an eye on the classifieds, we'll be doing some business to fund his desired .177 disco !! )
at 100 yards, ryan was bouncing a 1/2  liter water bottle around, using 8 round q-mags loaded with jsb heavies, he finally drained the disco resevoir.
all in all, it was a great father/son kinda day !!!!

enjoy the pics ya'll..!!

Sounds like a great day. I was out doing some shooting as well. If you dont mind me asking where in San Diego do you know of thats good for shooting airguns? (other than one's yard). If you dont feel like answering openly feel free to send me a PM. Im really interested in finding someplace close other than my yard.

What a day you had ! Best times are going out with the family. My kids are all grown up and moved away and we sure miss the shooting times we had. When he and his sister were young we took in the local turkey shoots around the holidays. We really had a great time shooting powder burning rifles and shotguns. Of course my son had a BB gun as a kid but we didn't have the airguns that are available now. When the kids are home on a visit we get out my different air guns and re-live the "old" days. My son prefers the 52 while my daughter likes my Hunter Elite. I'm proud to say that both shoot rings around me.
