GRT-III on Gamo hunter 440
« on: March 28, 2007, 12:20:44 AM »

I got the trigger today and it took me all of 10 minutes to install it; the directions are perfect. Wow, the trigger is great. I could not get a consistent grouping with the Gamo trigger and was ready to return this gun. I put in the GRT-III trigger and was able to put seven shots in a space that could be covered with a dime. Gamo should be paying you for this trigger, otherwise they would be getting a heck of allot of returns. Nice work. This trigger is a beautiful thing. If you don't have this trigger then get it.  :)

Yes, welcome to the forum, it truly is a great place to hang out.

Those GRT III triggers certainly are fantastic, I have them in several of my guns and will be putting them in the rest of my GAMO's in time.  :)

Thanks for the welcome. I have had a long history with air guns and hope to continue. This Gamo 440 was very disappointing out of the box; I could shoot much better groupings with my 397 benj. pump. I believe I probably shot better with my old crosman 760 pump. Why would Gamo go to the effort to make an accurate gun only to fit it with a crappy trigger. I would bet that allot of people returned Gamo products, swearing they are inaccurate because of the poorly constructed trigger. Gamo should charge $20 more and put in a good trigger and the rifles will still be a bargain.
