Avoid this company, "straightshooters.com"
« on: February 03, 2010, 08:37:21 AM »
Has anyone had the displeasure of dealing with this company.  An individual named Kevin, is just being a total %^&hole. I just wanted to give everyone the heads up if you have a choice between this company and another, use the other!!  He is being so rude, over something as simple as ordering a scope mount.  I asked for a recommendation after providing all of my guns specs and he responded that doesn't exist.  I told him to research the gun before arguing with me about it and he responded why should i we don't carry it so it's pointless.  I don't think i need to say more about the quality of customer care i have received.

Just avoid them if you can to teach them to treat people with a little respect.

Edward

I have experienced that attitude from Kevin. He almost lost a sale on a Marauder with me, but then changed his attitude when he sensed the downhill motion. Definately a candidate for a "customer relations" class.

Perhaps we can help you here Lindros. What airgun are you looking to mate a mount onto?

I bought an R7 from them and found them knowledgeable and easy to deal with.

After kevin's attitude i asked he pass on my email to a manager.  I received a response from "craig" saying sorry, we won't be able to help you, the end.   Do you know if Craig really exists, if so please tell me he is not actually a  manager (it is not stated so in his email signature).  I am not in the mood to be disrespected by rude salesmen.  Any thoughts as to how i should follow this up?  I was looking for a one piece adjustable mount, capable of handling the walther falcon recoils.  They had a high ring, one piece adjustable for 65$ sporting..... something or other was the brand i think.

Edward, screw them, here's something that works good. I provided a link to the thread that covers a mount solution for the WFH...just contact me if you have any questions, or post right here and I'll try to help.

Just saw this post and had to chime in. Sorry to hear you folks have had problems with this company. I've just finished dealing with Straight Shooters and have had conversations with Kevin,,,both email and telephone. While I found Kevin to be..uh..short and to the point, he was extremely helpful to me. A couple of months ago, he made sure I received the walnut stock I wanted on the TX200 I ordered. I also ordered a HK97K which Kevin made sure I knew why it would be awhile before it was sent to me. He kept me in the loop via emails until it was shipped....all on his own. I've spoken to him on the phone several times...while I could tell he was strickly business, he was also knowledgeable concerning the products I've asked about. He told me he had gained a reputation for being a no nonsense conversationalist.. I took that to mean he had no use for idle chit-chat. Based on the experiences I've had, I'd not hesitate to do business with them.
