Wanna Iguana ?????

Seems that the cold temps in Florida are having an impact on the Iguana population.   The news reports that the cold temps are putting the lizards into a stupor and they loose thier grip and are falling out of the trees.  Some are reported to be over 5 ft. in length.    Sounds like meat is back on the menu boys.  BBQ time.

good stuff!.....i have eaten a few of them.....and NO THEY DON'T TASTE LIKE CHICKEN!!....roasted over an open fire with old bay seasoning....or wrap in a bannana tree leaf  and bury it with hot coals.....

I seen that on the new's .....Lizards dropping from the tree's lol. I've never tried the meat but I'd give it a try in a minute. Ed

the meat should be good there vegertarians and somewhat clean reptiles.

You guys have Hummingbirds down there?  They must be dropping like flies since their heartrate is very slow when they're sleeping....so slow that if there's a freeze like what's going on....their heart just stops.  End of story.  (

Saw a show on the Iguana problem in Florida. The preferred method of putting them down once captured - burlap bag tossed into the freezer for a while. Neat looking lizards but glad they aren't this far north.
