Gene PMed me a few weeks ago to make sure I hadn't fallen off the edge of the World, so I guess it's about time for me to post something in case anyone else is wondering.
I had a very busy couple months leading up to Christmas this year. I've been with the same company for 6 years or so, but I took a new position about 5 months ago that is drastically different than what I was doing. Long story shortenned, I used to travel 3 weeks a month and had a bunch of hotel time to post and surf. New job I am at a desk all day, I have two computers to deal with, which is actually a good thing, but by the time I get home I am pretty well done with typing for the day. I still visit this place every day, but rarely post anymore. I have however been keeping up with my friends in the NTAGM, and let me just say that there are some pretty good shootouts in the works (more on that once we've firmed up). I also have aquired a couple new rifles......
Met up with my friend David Enoch a month or so ago at Cabelas for lunch. We got looking around at everything and I spotted a Benjamin 397 that decided it wanted to come home with me....I actually went home, layed on the floor, kicked and screamed, until my wife let me go back the next day and buy it:) I have some pretty decent air rifles at this point, but I've never owned a Benjamin. I figured everyone else has one, so I should too. Got a Williams peep sight for it the other day and I'm waiting till I have time to sight it in again. Shooting it isn't quite like some of my higher end rifles, but I really feel 12 years old when I shoot it, and that's what matters.
So, since none of my family members knows how to shop for me I got mostly cash for Christmas....bummer eh? My kids got me some cool small stuff, and I kicked in a few dollars on top of the Christmas cash and ordered a BAM B40 from Bestairgun. Did a very light lube tune on it, cleaned up the trigger and adjusted and so far it looks really promising. I have to mention that Mike Melick at Bestairgun did a great job of getting the gun shipped to me FAST!
Everything has been pretty good. I just wanted to stop in and say hello and give you all my best. I may not type as much, but I'm still here, everyday!!!
