1377 on Hold
« on: February 08, 2010, 12:03:18 PM »
So I bought a 1377c from PA as a platform for something new.  It came in last Friday

After 20-25 rounds it looses it power.  After 10 pumps it shoots like 2 pump. Cocked or not, no power.

Bummer, but customer service was ok.  I sent it back today.  I had it 2 day aired to me in the first place cause I have mods here and more on the way, couldn't wait to get started.  Guess I'll have to wait.
I did order a set of RB Grips today though; the longer I wait the more I buy... Waiting stinks

Keep you posted

What are you going to do to it? I got one of the $35 refurbs they had early this summer and it's worked flawlessly.I did a full trigger job on it and added the steel breech with a Charles Mellon stainless steel extended bolt probe and handle and a 14.5" 22cal. barrel with a Mellon delrin muzzel break with some extra parts that I put inside that  keep it quite and very accurate. It has become one of my favorite guns it's a  super lite carbine hunter and a great little truck gun.

The Mods I've bought so far:

RB Grips
Crosman Steel Breech
Mountain Air Trigger spring/guide
Mountain Air Trigger shoe
Leapers Golden Image 30mm Red Dot with Integral Weaver Rail

Waiting for most of it to be made, some should be in soon.  The gun itself should be returning to PA in the next few days.  Will see how long the turnaround takes.

Waiting....

Just completed my backyard sniper. I probably spent 3x from what I started. With all the mods, she now shoots 704fps with 7.9 CPHP with 10 pumps before I installed the power adjuster (not pictured) with 20 pumps I got 2 shots 1st was 642fps and 2nd was 732fps. After the power adjuster, with 20 pumps It shot 857fps. I added the power adjuster so I don't have to use a heavy hammer spring to dump app the air with 20+ pumps, I also have lighten the valve spring to make it easier to pump. I only pump her to 12 to minimize wear and tear on me old wrist!! :D

You'll never guess....

Received the Leapers Red/Green dot......  Thumb screw bolt is stripped.  2nd thing I had to return to PA.

Ordered the BSA pistol scope with leaper rings.

This 1377 project is going and going.....
