He can't keep doing the same thing for too long. It gets old for him or gets bored and needs to do something new. He shot a couple of bunnies and then felt sorry for them. He was even washing them and blow drying them to make them pretty for the pictures Then he shot 4-5 foxes and felt sorry for them too and said he won't kill them anymore. You should know Timmy by now.. Look how long his guns last. They are usually up for sale 4-6mos later (I hope he is reading this, hehehe). Timmy will be Timmy Thanks Paul. Nothing showed up with the snow storm last night. Not even a skunk. The skunk would probably not be able to walk on 7-8" of snow, but I was hoping the Coyote would show up. No tracks around the bait area or the property anywhere - nada. Because of the dang wind. 35-40mph winds all night long making my old windows screech. The critters don't like strong winds and usually stay home :0

Yeah i know i've been missing for awhile,, kinda part do to hunting and trapping, part do to my BC not at full power, and part do to looking to buy a house out west... Cant stand living on the east cost anymore.. def. not in PA.. To many liberals coming in and wanting everyone to change to their way... Perfect example.. The one gun club that i belong to sold part of their land.. Some people came and looked at  it,, built a house on it...for 4 years they had no problem with shooting at all hours of the day... Then all of a sudden they yaping about having the gun glub close down as it's bothering them and possible lawsuit and all the BS... Hey it didn't bother them for the first 4 years, the gun club was there before they built their house... They knew how much shooting there was going on, if you didn't like all the shooting,, why even buy the property and build a house?? All the land around here is going up with poster signs... 10 -15 years ago you could run long distance coyote dogs and coon dogs without a problem... Now you cant walk 100 yards and you're on someone's elses private land... Less and less people want to do outdoor activities... I've lost many hunting spots over the past 5 years,, already lost and trapping, and rifle spot this year... The pinetree farm that's ajointing my proerty (where the son works) last year we could use rimmies for small game and groundhogs and could trap,, this year's new insurnace policies say no trapping and no guns at all,,, And just to think that the owners were complaining about how many groundhogs were around... Now I'm left with on option... small game hunting with the bow..and groundhog hunting with a bow...

Sounds like you might have a hard time getting any sleep thinking about yotes in your yard. That sounds like a great problem to have. Stay at it, that would be a great trophy to have yote taken with a pellet gun.

BTW Tim, I think you 'd be happy to hear I took a few possums (and a skunk! hehe) this winter with your 350 .22 which I call "Ol' Tim", but I 'm sure you drop in here from time to time and probably read up on it   My Condors were broken (!) so I used the 350, hehehe.  My wife asked me the other day, why do you keep saying you will shoot "Old Tim" today?  who is old Tim?" she asked    I then said remember my friend Tim that sent me this beautiful 350 after mine got stolen and wouldn't accept any money?  She said "oh that Tim!.." She didn't have her coffee yet, hehehe.  Ol' Tim 350 has seen lots of action this winter you 'll be proud to hear it has 8-9 squirrels under its belt too!    But sorry I 'll have to say that I feel compelled to use the .25 Condor on this Coyote if and when it comes back.  I mean that's what I got the darn thing for - to crush Coyote skull! Both sides..  hehehe  :p    If I get one, and another comes, I 'll take it with the "Ol' Tim" 350 - that's a promise!  I may have to move the bait area a little closer, but I 'll be using the 350 for sure on the 2nd one  (first there needs to be a "1st one", hehehe).

That really stinks Cody.  Where out west are you thinking of moving to?  

PA is a very large state with a lot of forests and wilderness.  Couldn't you just relocate "locally" or find yourself several acres of land somewhere remote where noone would bother you?  I know if I go further north upstate NY I can find large lots of property from 6 to 40 acres for sale.  It all depends what you can afford but it's a hek of lot cheaper per acre than down here where I live - 1hr from the city.  

I want to buy a few acres upstate like near where Jeff's summer place is, but my job is uncertain in late Spring - after the data center is relocated to the Midwest.  I don't know if I will be employed after that..  If I had some guarantees, I 'd buy a nice chunk of property up there now and go hunting on the weekends.  It's the same down here too as is up near you.  Everything is private land.  Another blow to the face is that they don't allow rifles in the Stewart state land which is only about 2.5-3mi. from my house!  Shotgun only.  I have nowhere to go hunt small-game and we are overrun by coyotes too.  It doesn't make any sense why they don't allow rifles, at least for coyotes only, because this piece of state land is pretty big.  At least I think 7,800 acres is big enough for rifle.  It seems to be about 7-8 miles long and 5-6 miles wide from what I can tell driving around it.  I have come to realize that only if I get my "own place" that is big enough, I can be happy and do all the hunting I want with airguns and maybe rimfire.  Once I have wiped out all the critters there, like I have done in my neighborhood now, I sell it and buy another piece of land, hehe      Just kidding!  But that's my only fear..  Running out of critters

True I could always relocate to someplace upsate in PA...I guess that i'm just more or less tired of shooting the stuff thats around here.. I'm thinking of relocating to NW Montana or the pan handle of Idaho

 The only "big"  game that's around here is white tail deer, and then go upstate for bear.. PA does give out a few elk tags every year, but you're almost as lucky to draw a elk tag are you are to win big on the lottery... PA's got almost 1 million hunters, and only have around 50 elk tags...YEAH!! Bear is well trying to fish with out bait or a spinner.. It's just like dropping a hook in the water and hopping that dumb fish will swim by and think "oh look at this shiny object, i think i'll eat it". You cant hunt over bait, which just about makes it impossible to kill a bear by yourself... If your a poster (one who stands or sits, waiting for the drivers to push you an animal) in a drive for bear, about half the time the bear will lay low and try and have the drivers walk past them... sometimes resulting in a driver shooting the bear...

Reason why i wanta go out west is for the lack of people and the game thats out there... Big game in the part of Montana that i'm looking at consists bear, mulies, pronghorn, white tails, mt lions (well thats dangerous game) elk, moose, mountain goat, and mountain rams,, and thats just the ones that i know of...
I found (well not really as my son knows the people) that are selling their little (well it's not really that little at 3900 st.ft) log house and 25 acres for 600 in MT..It's a pretty sweet looking log house i have to admit, as it was custom built by the owners that are living in the house now, it was only built in 06

I guess i just gota wait and see what happens before i go and make all these plans i guess

Well Cody if your reasons for moving is for better big-game hunting, than Montana is definitely a good choice.  PA is not it.

Just be ready in Montana with a big gun when you come face to face with that big ol' grizzly!  They got everything there.  I think you 'll be happy there.  What guns do/will you use for Elk & bear?  Pronghorn you could probably use my 7mm Mag for that long distance flat trajectory shooting.  I am thinking of selling it  I think I 'm just going to keep my 30-30's and 1 of my 12ga. shotguns.  I need to make room for more airguns I think, hehe.  I already sold my Remington .270 which was one of my favorites and my 7mm Mag is my 2nd favorite high powered rifle which will probably be next.  I may get a WMR or HMR in the future after I make some room..  It looks like they will allow rimfire in the state land here near me this year, and since it's shotgun only, I don't need all the others.  And with the new laws, where rimfire is allowed, airguns are allowed  
I sold my .308 and 30-06 a little while back too so I don't have too many powder burners left now..  I don't have the room for another gun case/safe so some guns I don't use gotta go.  I still like my lever-action 30-30's though for occasional deer hunting if I get in the mood for deer & black bear again  I think everyone has a classic Marlin or Winchester 30-30 in their house.  It 'd be very hard for me to sell those..

When you move to Montana don't forget to post some of your big-game kills here, ok?!?

Yeahi think when i go grizzly hunting i'm gona take at leasts .338.... there is no messing around with those things, 1 wrong move and you're a snack! Right now i use my 30-06 loaded with factory 180 grain remington core-loks for bear, I haven't drawn an elk tag, but i would probably use my 06 for them... for pronghorn, i dont know what i would use, or how i would even hunt them, i'm not a big fan of mid range shots (mid range to me being from 300-600 yards) Now if your talking 1,000+ yards, thats a different story, as you need eagle eyes to see something that far out, and if you miss judge your distance by 50 yards, or miss judge the wind by a couple mph your bullet wont hit its spot... I would love to go down in the flats of Montana for all the prairie dogs in the summer,,, just think of all the towns that have hundreds and thousands of them in....I dont think that i would know which one to shoot first...

I hear that those HMR's are deadly accurate, andvery addicting (kinda like airguning) i was thinking of getting a savage 93 with stainless barrel, wood stock and a thumbhole,, but now i turned my attention to the 17 centerfire and the .204 ruger

Yeah i know what you mean about everyone having a classic 30-30.. i got one thats a lever- action alsoand top edjecting, dont see many of those around any more all the ones that i see now are side edjecting... My 30-30 is obnoxiously loud though...every time i take it to the gun range i'm always getting second glances, and almost always get asked if it's a .375,, as its sounds like it's a .375 going off just minus the recoil,,, some people even say that they can feel the concussion on their chestwhen i shoot it off

The biggest problem that i think i'm gona have is bears bluff charge me if i move out west.... I was watching somekind of documentry on Animal Planet a few weeks ago of somekind of bear problem in Canada,, these bear would bluff charge people to about 10 yards, then stop and walk away, and do it again... I think that my big bored side arm would be talking to the bear way before it got 10 yards away!!

I just gota check the Montana's fish and game laws before i really think of moving out there... I dont wanta move someplace that's worse them the state that i'm living in now (i.e., PA is no semi auto rifles, no airgunning, and def. no messed up orange requirement regulations),,, as PA's orange requirements for huntingare a story andhalf by it's self!!... to many over lapping seasons, people dont know whatorange to wear and how to wear it andwhen to wear it...and just some of the laws that the PGC has dont make really any sence as i'll show you in the next paragraph

PGC regulations not making any sence, as follows -- During fall turkey season, rifles and handguns cannot be used in 6 WMU's (wildlife management units), BUT rifles can be used for deer in many of the same WMU's, also during bear or muzzleloader seasons, only a .22 or less rimfire can be used for small game season when the 2 different seasons overlap, which makes my muzzleloader squirrel gun have to stay in the safe when i could as easily use it to kill a bear if i saw one while small game hunting.. OR this one... Your buck tag magically turns into an any deer tag in the lateflintlock season IF your using a flintlock BUT NOT if your using a bowduring the same time period... And i'll throw in one orange requirement.... In late deer season (after christmas) you can use a flinter and bow for buck or doe, and only a high power for doe.... flinters and bowers dont need to wear any orange, but the high powered shooters need to wear orange,, but just think... whos the one thats at a greater risk at getting shot? the person with the flinter, bow or the high powered rifle? Bow is only accurate to around 60 yards,(highly unlikely that he'sgona shoot a person)flinter around 50ish(also highly unlikely thathe's gona hit somone), or the highpowered rifle which can shoot 200+ yards accurately.... what if a deer bolts across a field,, with a bower on one side, and a high powered rifler on the other side,, who's got the greater risk at getting shot?? dont you think that the person with the greatest risk of getting shot should be wearing the orange?
