Did you allign the barrel port hole and the breech port hole before fitting it to the tube?

My 2400 with 18" barrel and power adjuster set to max does almost 600 fps using 13.88 grain Gamo Pro Match...

took it apart, and found the hammer spring hanged on the adjustment screw. fixed that, and made sure that the gas port lines up properly. New co2 gave me a hobby flyng at 567 fps... much better. i actually took the stock off and used the trigger group of a 2240 as well as a 1399 stock. now i have a cool little stretched "2250". is grouping very well and gets 26 shots that go from 570 down to 456 fps. then it shoots 424,333,279... so at 25 it gets changed. I guess an average of 525 fps is not bad. For anyone interested, numbers are as follows:
549,554,564,570,563,561,563,551,537,536,523,517,507,510,499,493,486,483,477,473,471,460,456. after that i got the low ones. this is at 55 degrees with an interval of 30 seconds between shots. I imagine in the summer i would get a little better numbers.

Glad it's sorted. Any chance on sharing a picture? Would love to see the new setup.
