Scope mounting on high rings
« on: February 14, 2010, 05:22:05 AM »
I have a Discovery with Center Point scope.  When I mounted on medium rings I had no trouble adjusting.  WHen I mounted on high rings the gun shoots about 8" low and I can not adjust the scope enought to get it zeroed.  Is there sonething I need to do with the rings when mounting to get it more in line? Thanks.

Try shimming the back rings....under the scope tube.  That would be the cheap fix.

YOU MUST TO SHIM JUST THE BACK RING AND THAT WILL RESOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.
