1377 barrel question
« on: February 18, 2010, 04:48:12 AM »
Can you take out the .177 barrel and put in a .22 barrel instead?  How much work is involved?  Thanks.

Easy.  There are quite a few posts here on the subject.  Two main things needed beside the barrel:  a .22 bolt, and, if you want a longer barrel, the 1389 barrel band and screw.  Parts are easy to get and fairly reasonable from Crosman.  See Crosman.com for parts diagrams and numbers.

Here's a link to one of my posts on the subject.

Note that 24" barrels from the 1760 and 2260 interchange on the 1377c.  You can cut them to length and crown them.

Also note that the barrel band needed is from the 2289.  I said 1389 earlier.  The screw is a special thing.  Need that, too.

you will have to drill out the front barrel band or replace it with one of these for the barrel to pass through. http://www.blueforkdesign.us/44501/38816.html

With mine I'm getting almost 9 ft.lbs. with the stock valve and piston using a 14.5" .22 barrel with a baffled break the 14.3gr pellet does 531 fps and I must say is deadly accurate out to 30 yards easy!

Stock valve and piston?  Let me guess, they make aftermarket valves and such?
