Crosman custom shop
« on: February 19, 2010, 05:01:51 PM »
They want $160ish to upgrade the 2240 from stock to: 10.1" barrel, black muzzle, long steel breech, black trigger show, scope sight, and plastic grip.  Does this seem high? or about right?  Especially seeing how I would have no idea how to do all that stuff in the first place.  Is it worth it?

At the Mac1 site, they have an accuracy prep and a power prep at $25 ea.  Anybody do this kinda thing?  How did it work out?  Or should I say perform?

Thanks in advance,
Scott

I bet if you look at the details, most of the cost is for the barrel ( bet its the 10.1 LW).  Looks like we're in the same boat!!  I just bought a stock 2240 from PA and wanted to buy a longer barrel for it.  Custom shop would not sell me a barrel unless it was through a complete pistol purchase!!  Also, I called Crosman and the custom shop will not do anything or allow any options that are not provided for through the custom shop website.  WTF?  They are well aware that we customers would like more flexibility from the custom shop, but apparently have made a business decision about how to run it that reduces its usefulness.  Too bad for us.

Now, like you, I'm trying to figure out how to get the mods that I want without having to purchase the whole pistol again through the custom shop.
