Wind was a bear then it snowed, then it got really windy. However, before the snow hit Thursday, I was in my basement doing a little 20y offhand shooting and things got real quiet.... looked outside and the pines lining the neighbors' yard were still. At first I was just thinking 'calm before the storm' then I though hmmmmm. First 30y match in several weeks!!!! Swapped guns, set up my table, made my first trek across the backyard in 3+ weeks (snow is still 8' deep with a couple 2ft drifts (luckily not in front of the target box) to hang 3 targets. Sighted in, refilled, came back to check POI and bam - WINDY.  But there was a little luck left, the winded gusted then STOPPED over and over again. I just had to be patient (not generally in my nature :-) )  Of course the target hung in the box through the wind and snow and a little rain until today but it was still intact.

Weapon:   Edgun Matador 10-40x50 Osprey
Pellet:   JSB 18.1 .22
Dist/Pos:   30y / Bench / Front Rest
Score   140
