Input on Leapers scope reticles?
« on: February 26, 2010, 02:27:56 PM »
I currently have a TF-89 with a Leapers 4x32 Golden Image on and love it.

Recently I purchased a Hammerli 850 and Leapers Bug Buster 3-9x32.  I wanted this scope because of it's small size and liked it overall.  The main problem I had with it was its THICK crosshairs and mil-dots.  About twice as thick as my other Leapers scope.  My coworker bought the Bug Buster from me so now I'm wanting to buy the Leapers 3-9x32 Golden Image scope for this AR.  Does anyone know if the reticles are the same as the 4x32 I already have?

Thanks for any help.
Doug

I don't know if it is the same as the 4 X 32, but mine has a fine reticule. Being non-illuminated it should be finer than the Bug Buster. They are great no frills scopes.

The Leapers 3-9X32 AO non illumited mill dot scope has finer cross hairs than the Bug Buster. They are a longer scope than the Bug Buster and won't have an eye relief problem for mounting. I have one on a new HW 30s, which is a small rifle and it fits great. A very nice scope for the money.

Both my Bug Busters have thick reticles but the Leapers  UTG 3-9x40 RG Illuminated Mil Dot has nice fine hairs.

Thanks for the input.  I'll be ordering the 3-9x32 Golden Image monday.
