Bogey: Spring compressor for sure, I like my teeth...and would like to keep em. Hadn't thought about using Crosman parts, but if I can get the right Macari parts, I'd rather go that route. It might be worth it to order both in case I tear a seal putting it back together. My goal with this tune is to make is smoother and more accurate, not more powerful. I haven't been satisfied with it's accuracy from day 1, but didn't know any better until I joined this forum and read about tunning, artillery hold, etc.... and got another springer (Gamo Whisper Delux). The Remington is nice to look at and touch, just doesn't shoot consistently. I like to work with my hands and tinker, so instead of getting rid of her, I'd like to try to make it better.
Charlie: Thanks for confirming the spring and seal....as well as putting together the Super Tune doc.
Bwana, thanks for confirming the E3650. The E3650 is $17 and the Apex Seal is $8.95...not too bad.
