Darius, the seal issue is with most all production guns made in Span,China and other countries. The problem is the tubes are stamped out. If the tooling is worn and it does wear, they will leave small burrs in the tube. In the process of putting the seal and piston in the tube the tiny burs will slice little chunks out of the seals. You do not see this in the Euro guns but Spanish and Chinese it is always and fissure.
In my quest to find out what Crosman had come up with in the NPSS and Trail NP I found that the NPSS was more refined. I found that the NPSS had gone through an extra step before the piston and seal were installed. They reamed the back portion of the tube where all the cut outs are for the trigger and cocking slot. This is a first. That is another reason I would buy an NPSS over a Trail NP.
