So my very high maint 10 yr old, basically my wife in a little body asked me if it was ok to have a boyfriend. I said he!! No! Then ate lunch with her friday and saw a kid and asked if it was him? Kwickly was pointed? To the

Wait untilshe is 22 and tells you she's going to Chicago for a week with a boy; the new "boy friend". All you can do is smile and say don't do anything stupid because if she wanted to do something stupid she's in college and would already be doing it. If you say anything else she'll just quit telling you what she's going to do and do it anyway.

dj i have 6 children and when my daughter was 12 i was asked the same thing so instead of refusing for her to have a boyfriend i told her that they could be friends as long i met there parents and they could date in front of me and i gave permission for the boy to come on over and stay only in the living room watching movies or hang out in front of where i live at cause i knew i could see them and her 5 brothers had him in check anyway but its best that they have some freedom in front of us than to hide and we would never know the thruth .dj im one strict parent but trust is a factor in raising a girl .i rerally got along with the boy and his parents also .right now my daughter is 19 graduated and her boyfriend from back then is a college student learning law in nyu (new york university ) and gabe is his name still comes arount to shoot airguns with me and is a brown belt in brazilian ju jit su ,turned out to be a great kid and my daughter always gave me respect for what i did 7 years ago and i didnt regret it .just monitor them and meet his parents and tell them that if they could be friends not boyfriend or girlfriend thats all but give it a try dj...im not trying to be disrespectful im speaking from experinces and to tell u the thruth i treated my sons the same way ..good luck and God Bless You and Your Family From My Heart To Yours ...jorge nys
