First kills!
« on: March 24, 2010, 01:39:44 PM »
After alot of fine tuning I figured it was time to break in the Gamo Hunter. Cought this guy in the sights and after watching for a while because hed kept ducking his head behind a branch. I finally got a clean shot. Let the JSB 8.4 gr fly and pop! he bent over like he was ducking then fell to the ground. Jumped once and all stopped. Went over picked him up and photo time for yall. Looked it over real good and I had hit him just behind the left eye. After skinning it the pellet was sitting between the right shoulder and its skin. SO from entry to where it was I got almost 3 in of penetration through the skull and hit the neck bone then out the shoulder. Its in the freezer wiating on squirrel dumplings!

The other kill I am not to happy about. My 350 mag claimed its first victim today also. My Leapers 3-9 x 40 AO scope it came with! After about 100 rnds it started to go out of focus with every shot. Refocus and it would hit somewhere else. Then the 3-9 adjustment locked up to where you could not turn it. I got that freed up then went back out to check it out and got it all adjusted target was good focus pulled the trigger adn out of focus! could not get it focused again every thing turns stil but cannot get cross hairs and target in focus at the same time. Cross hairs are also starting to cant right. SO scope is definatly dead. WIll contact pyramid air and leapers to see who is fixing it. Ive had it a couple weeks so it should still be under warrenty.

Enjoy the pic and good shooting all!
