NPSS takedown / lube instrustions and advice
« on: March 25, 2010, 12:41:30 PM »
Hey everyone!
Been poking around and reading and as i am new to airgunning looking for instructions and advice. I purchased a new Cross NPSS and am looking for detailed take down instructions or advice wether i should even attempt or not. I am experienced taking down firearms for deep cleaning but have never attempted an air rifle. I have read that there is a tone of gook in the guns that should be cleaned and parts that should be lubed. So...
1. Is there any detailed instructions to be found on how to take the NPSS apart?
If so should a novice even atempt and is there special tools needed (i have seen mentioned about a sprin compressor(is this needed for a gas ram) AND what is this?

2. How should it be cleaned

3. What should be lubed (and what should i use For lube?)

Thanks in advance for any help!
