After reading an earlier post with numbers exceeding 700 fps with the new NP .22 Ed and I decided to re-test the NP .22 I have on hand. With the Gamo 15.5 gn pellets she was spitting lead out around 640 fps. Today Ed re-tested using Crosman CP's 14.5 pellets and was getting an average of around 760 fps, which is not to bad for this smaller .22 gas ram. We also had a B-26 -2 .22in the shop this morning for a tune and after the tune she was spitting lead out between 750 and 780 fps. This is a bit high for a .22, B-26-2. Many of them come in under 750 fps. So my point is that the Crosman gas ram does not really increase fps but merely gives one a smoother cocking and shot cycle. And of course in many cases a lower overall deviation.
