Welcome Dave,

I haven't heard any other reports of the XL1500 either. I think it may be that most serious Airgunners will shy away from guns with that much speed because of pellet instability breaking the sound barrier. Plus, so far, the guys who've been buying them are using them for larger game, longer range hunting and the 22 has the edge there.

How about giving us a review of yours?  What pellets are you using, and what speeds are they giving - what hold works best for you - how loud is it and what do like/dislike about it, etc ????

It is best that Crosman does not make the XL in a .177. To much power for even a heavy .177 pelet. Like the Gamo Exteme .177, it is a waste. Way to much power for that small of a caliber. I would think that they would be releasing a .25 in the near futrue.

I'm wondering what kind of speeds the XL1500 will do with the heaviest  17 cal pellets ? Maybe Dave can tell us once he gets his chrony. Looking forward to reading whatever info you can provide Dave.

Me too, David chorny the heaviest 177 you can get. 177 with that power plant wow, like Gene said, probably way to much power for a 177.
